This fabulous 1968 project is quick and easy knitting done on Jumbo needles! (size US 50 / 25mm).

The needles were called Jumbo Jets by Reynolds, which may be harder to come by these days, but size 50 substitute Jumbo needles are still readily available in crafting stores :):

Instructs for three sizes: misses Small (8-10), Medium (12-14) and Large (16-18).

Features:

Mini, above knee length with short banded sleeves and bottom edge.

Large rolled collar, - these can double as hairbands, just stitch an extra one :)

Back closure with a ping-pong covered with crochet for the button !

Original pattern called for : pair of large/jumbo needles (US 50, 25mm), and four different weights of yarn - Super Bulky 14-ply, Bulky 12-ply, DK 8-ply and an Aran 10-ply. Also requires crochet hook size K and 1 ping pong balls for "ping-pon" button closure.

Dress is knitted with four strands of yarn held together throughout ( one of each listed above).
