This fabulous 1968 project is quick and easy knitting done on Jumbo needles! (size US 50 / 25mm).

The needles were called Jumbo Jets by Reynolds, which may be harder to come by these days, but size 50 substitute Jumbo needles are still readily available in crafting stores :):

Instructs for three sizes: misses Small (8-10), Medium (12-14) and Large (16-18).

Features:

Loose fitting mini, above knee length.

Large, marvelous Cape collar

Full sleeves that tie off at the wrist with funky crochet covered ping-pong ball ties !

Original pattern called for : pair of large/jumbo needles (US 50, 25mm), and three different weights of yarn - Worsted 10-ply, DK 8-ply and sports weight 5-ply. Also requires aluminum crochet hook size J and 4 ping pong balls .

Dress is knitted with three strands of yarn held together throughout (one of each listed above).
